Phase 1: Project Requirements
The objective was to create a merchandising display that would make a statement. STIHL wanted to tell their retailers and customers that STIHL is in the battery business for Handheld Outdoor Power Equipment. This display was not meant to be an add on, but rather a bold statement that there’s something new and different from Stihl.
Phase 2: Concepts
The assignment was to create a fixture that was “out of this world”, similar to “2001 Space Odyssey” and “Star Wars”. The client asked for something that commanded attention at retail and emulated a sense of energy and power. Additionally, we were tasked with providing clear delineation between three different product lines, making room for maximum branding and building in adjustability/flexibility as planograms change.
